The
Miami Pen & Watch Show
July 7-9, 2006, at the Biltmore Hotel
1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables, FL

Thursday afternoon: In minutes, it seemed, the sunny skies opened
up,
providing this rainy, windy, midsummer view from the Biltmore's front
balcony.

Thursday, 30 minutes later... That's Miami for you. Actually that's downtown
Coral Gables in the distance.

This way to the Grand Ballroom... and the pens!

The stairway to pen heaven.

The ballroom is filled with anticipation Friday morning as the
dealers start
to wander in and set up.

Supermodels, Cathryn and Carole Oser grace the PenWorld table
during dealer
setup.

Bert's back in the Biltmore Hotel Grand Ballroom…and so is the Miami
Pen& Watch
Show.

The always-dapper David Oscarson.

Susan Wirth explains how to choose the right nib in a workshop during the
show on Saturday.

got the name,"
Allian." No matter. They've got fabulous limited edition and
hand-painted
pens.

Lee Chait of Parker75.com.

An understandably pleased Craig Bozorth with the exceptional, and
very
unusual, Parker 51 display that he painstakingly restored.

Craig Bozorth makes a few notes as he prepares
for the show to open.

Roger Cromwell is happily doing repairs at
the show...

Pictures of the late Henry Bladen, a Parker rep in from the late 1940s to
the '70s, on top of just a few of the hundred-plus lot of brand new
old-stock pens being offered at the show by his son, Don as a complete lot
in a silent auction at the Miami Pen Show. The lot includes a Spanish
Treasure Pen in the original box, a Sterling Parker 75 Keepsake (smooth
finish) salesman's case, and a lot of treasures. It goes to the highest
bidder by the end of the show.

The Bladens with some of his late father's
Parker factory accumulation,
being sold as a single lot.
