Terzo America is one of the creations by Richard L. Greenwald that is currently available thru Bertram’s Inkwell or thru www.RichardLGreenwald.com. Starting with an idea, then engineering and laying out his own drawings, it is made from hand cast plastics that are colored with hand mixed pigments from his own formulas. Prototypes are made from clear stock, then, if needed, specialized tools and jigs are made in his little twenty by twenty foot shop. Having only three parts (mechanism, refill, and spring) that were manufactured by Schmidt of Germany, all the other internal components he made manufactured from brass. The external components are either individually cast, forged, or machined sterling silver, all done in his same shop. After being turned and polished, by hand, on three different lathes, it goes to his computerized engraving machine for identification before the final assembly. Truly, a hand made pen.

The pen pictured, Terzo-America number 15 out of 17, with a retail value of $499.00, will be given away during the Miami Pen Show on Saturday, July 16th at 3pm.

Come visit Richard, who rarely ventures out to shows, and will have special show pricing on Terzo-America and the rest of the Terzo line, along with Schmidt parts and some of his plastics for sale, at the Miami Pen Show, Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, July 15th thru the 17th.
